Eleanor Lee Reading Templeman was a local historian, author, preservationist and photographer. From 1947 until her death, Mrs. Templeman served the Society of the Lees of Virginia as Secretary, Genealogist and Historian. She wrote four books and numerous journal articles, primarily on the Lee family and also local history.
